Newest KPOP girls band. Modeled after "The PussyCat Dolls". "Ah" single is very promising. Have 2 versions (MTV & TVN). Must see.

Hope new wave of such groups will never end! Sure this is unrealistic, they already overload Korean scene, but still hope, maybe they'll extend to world POP scene! :-).

Also is interesting that Park (and some other members)  are near 30! But they look great, like after school! :-) This tells that not only 14 years old can start in such group! (like Wonder girls or SNSD).

Bio:

A majority of the members in After School have been back-up dancers for Son Dam Bi as well as for other artists before debut (including BoA!). 1st After School special Appearance was on 29th December 2008 on SBS Gayo Daejun Festival 'S', performing "Play Girlz" with Son Dam Bi.

After School's debut single, "Ah," was released as a digital single on January 15, 2009, and they made their debut performance on January 17, 2009 on MBC's music program, Music Core. Their second single is "Diva", which is an upbeat dance song; their first round of promotional activities will begin on April 9, 2009, with a performance on MNet's M! Countdown.

At the end of 2009, they will be competing for the newcomer awards against rival girl groups 2NE1 (reviewed), 4minute (shall do soon), and T-ara (maybe).

Introducing: After Schools' new member!

Despite having unleashed the new concept picture and revealing two new members for After School's comeback, Pledis Entertainment has been keeping the lid on the identities of it's two members thus far.

But thanks to the smart sleuthing work from PlayGirlz, the identities of the two new members are slowly being uncovered for everyone. Yesterday, we revealed photos of Nana who had joined the 2009 Asia Pacific Supermodel contest not too long ago. Today, we reveal to you Raina Reina.

In what appears to be a newly created Cyworld account, PlayGirlz have found that she romanizes her name as Raina (real name: Oh Hye Rin) instead of Reina as what was reported earlier. Selcas of Raina was also found in her Cyworld which seems to be taken recently and perhaps to celebrate her entry into After School.
